Matt Costa!

Sorry about the Wikipedia link, his website is broken, and the Wikipedia link leads to the wrong thing.

Anyway, Matt Costa is a relatively underground artist. The simplicity, the unique vocal style, all comes together to make a really great artist. Don't be fooled by Wikipedia, his style of music is not really folk music, at least, the stereotype of folk music anyway. In conclusion, go out and listen to Matt Costa's music! :)

So, I'd like to introduce to you:

This is a new thing I'm adding to the blog. What I'll do is, I'll post every week or so, with a new band/artist. I'll try to keep the balance of popular and underground artists. I'll link to the band/artist's webpage, if applicable. Also, in order to simplify things, I'll just refer to it as BOTW.

So, the first band/artist is...

Red Hot Chili Peppers!

Here's the part where I add a quick bio of the band. Now, while this band might be on hiatus (marathon touring to support their new album) this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy their music. Guitarist John Frusciante also has an experimental side project, in fact, his new album came out today!
So in conclusion, listen to their music. Yeah.

Band Gig

My NEW band, Tainted Shot, just played our first gig on Halloween at our school. We had to play an original song summarizing the novel "The Tale of Despereaux." It was really just my friend screaming into a poorly set up microphone.
With this performance, of course, came many problems. First, we just sat there on stage for 5 minutes while my friend, the screaming kid, and the vice principal fixed the sound system for the whole cafeteria just to get a worse sound coming out of the microphone than before. Then, we sat there for another 2 minutes gearing up to play. We finally played the whole song through, though I, as the drummer, had to improvise some parts that weren't practiced enough.
After the song, all of the kids started chanting "ENCORE! ENCORE!"
I went up to the microphone and said:
"We would play you an encore, but we don't know any other songs."
This caused everyone to laugh, lightening up the tension me and my bandmates were feeling.
So this was Halloween in a nutshell. Awesomeness out...

Yeah, EPG isn't really being used in our collabs, so I guess it's done. We'll still use the EPG logo, but we'll be using our seperate companies, Awesomeness Productions and BlackMagic Productions. I guess you could call it Exploding Pigeon Media.

Anyway, we're working on a HUGE Pivot battle, expected to hit over 2560 frames. Don't expect it's appearance for a VERY long time.

We'll be working on the game 'till about 7 a.m. in the morning. My point is, we'll have the beta up on Kongregate sometime sooner than expected. Sadly, this game night does not have a day or time...

Yep, you read right. That's the new company name. BTW, if you don't understand it, pigeons explode when they eat rice. Eventually, when we get our own website, the intro will be a little Flash animation of a pigeon eating rice, then exploding. Our motto is, "When God gives you rice, you feed it to pigeons." We have a warped sense of humor here at Exploding Pigeon Games.

I have just been informed that the project name is Naruto: Battle for the Hidden Leaf (Yeah, my friend is standing right next to me, he just told me). The developers (aka me and my friend) will have a beta up soon. We've created the first level, which you will find to be suck-ish, but strangely hard. It's not tweaked to perfection. Keep in mind the game was made by amateurs.
